Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is funding provided by the government to help schools improve the achievement of disadvantaged pupils. This additional funding is intended to ensure that children from lower-income families have the same opportunities as others to succeed in their education. Further details regarding pupil premium can be found on the DFE website or clicking the link below:

At Napier Primary, we use Pupil Premium to support students who:

  • Are eligible for free school meals (or have been in the past 6 years)
  • Are in care or have been adopted from care
  • Have parents serving in the armed forces

Our aim is to use this funding to close the attainment gap and provide tailored support for students who need it. We do this by:

  • Providing extra teaching support
  • Offering targeted interventions for reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Supporting emotional and social well-being
  • Ensuring access to enrichment activities like school trips or clubs

The total amount of Pupil premium funding for this acadmic year is £287,040.

For more information on how we spend our Pupil Premium funding, you can view our Pupil Premium Strategy  (Please see link at the end of this page).
